Road Trip: Look, See and Learn!

After 21 hours in a car driving cross country with the kiddos we were looking for something fun to occupy and round out those square eyes from electronic over drive!  There is only so much one can sit and watch video after video.  We had some great fun looking a license plates!  It got those kiddos actually
taking in the changing landscapes as we drove by instead of completely missing them while staring at a screen.  I had had enough of the mind numbing madness.  We made tallies for the most common license plates we saw and colored in each state on a blank map of the USA as we spotted them. This was a great way for the kiddos to track our route progress, learn the names of the states, their placement, their abbreviations, and capitals.  Fun, quick, and EASY!  Best of all, lots of dialogue and learning along the way.  More fab and easy ways to keep summer learning going on the go?  Do tell!  We all Love to Learn!
